Food-Grade Silicone Mold for Mousse Dessert “Heart”

In this project, 3D WAY created a food-grade silicone mold for the mousse dessert “Heart,” designed for consistent results in professional pastry use.

The key requirement was 0.5 cm wall thickness, which ensures proper mousse pouring, stable geometry, and easy unmolding without deformation.


We completed the full workflow:

  • 3D modeling of the dessert shape
  • SLA 3D printing of the highly detailed master model
  • Production of molds for intermediate and final food-grade forms
  • Creation of an intermediate silicone mold (0.5 cm thickness)
  • Casting the master model in polyurethane
  • Manufacturing the final food-grade silicone mold (0.5 cm thickness)

Outcome: a functional, well-engineered mold that provides:

  • even mousse filling
  • precise heart geometry
  • consistent, repeatable results
  • easy and safe unmolding
