When a part breaks, it doesn’t always mean “buy a new one.” Often, a product can be saved with the right combination of 3D scanning, 3D modeling, 3D printing, and high-quality post-processing.

This was exactly our approach for this project — restoring the base of a massage chair, where part of the structure was missing.

Our goal: return strength and geometry to the chair’s base, recreating the missing fragment so it fits perfectly into the structure and withstands everyday use.

What we did:

3D scanning of the chair — capturing exact shape and dimensions;
3D modeling based on the scan — preparing a digital model to reproduce the missing piece;
3D printing of the required fragment — creating the element that was missing;
Post-processing and reinforcement — fastening with brackets, gluing, filling seams, and securing the joint with epoxy resin.

The result
We restored the massage chair base so the part fits perfectly, looks clean after finishing, and is securely fixed for continued use.

The client received a fully functional product without long searches for spare parts or costs for a full replacement.
