• 3D scanning of the original part — capturing all dimensions, shapes, and geometry to create an accurate digital model;
  
  
• 3D modeling — preparing the model for printing, considering technical features and mounting points;
  
  
• 3D printing with PET-G — a strong, impact-resistant, and heat-resistant plastic that ensures reliability for everyday use;
  
  
• Class C post-processing — sanding, cleaning, and finishing to make the part ready for installation, looking as good as new.
  

The result: the BYD Song I mirror cover is fully restored, ready for installation, and virtually indistinguishable from the original. This project demonstrates how 3D printing and modern materials allow us to quickly and accurately reproduce even parts that are no longer manufactured.
